Nawal Abou Raad is a professor in Mathematics Education at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Education.
She received her master degree in Mathematics in 1982, and successfully completed her higher studies Diploma DES in Mathematics Education at the Lebanese University (2003). Then, she sought her postgraduate studies in France at the University Lyon 2 (2004) and achieved a PhD in Mathematics Education (didactic of mathematics) from the University “Aix en Provence” in 2006.
Nawal Abou Raad had worked as a teacher of mathematics for 25 years (1978-2003); until 2003 she was assigned as a member of the Lebanese official exam committee. Since 2007, she has become a faculty member at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Education, as an assistant Professor until 2016. Recently, Abou Raad gained the title of a professor in Mathematics Education. In addition to her teaching load, she took in charge of Teacher Training Program at the faculty and the coordinator of the Faculty Training Center from 2010 to 2015.
Nawal Abou Raad is a member of the Association for Research in Mathematics Education (ARDM), has fifteen contributions in international conferences and seminars and eleven scientific published articles.
